This much loved hedging plant is one of the most popular choices for both country and town hedges. Its wavy dark green leaves change to the most wonderful golden hue in autumn and if trimmed in autumn, the dying leaves are held on until the new growth arrives in spring. It therefore makes a great alternative to a fully evergreen hedge.
