Beech Purple /Fagus atropurpurea
A stunning hedging plant with dark purple leaves turning a rich bronze in autumn. This much loved hedging plant is one of the most popular choices for both country and town hedges. Its wavy dark purple leaves change to the most wonderful bronze hue in autumn and if trimmed in autumn, the dying leaves are more likely to hold on until the new growth arrives in spring. It therefore makes a great alternative to a fully evergreen hedge.
