Cotoneaster
 
Cotoneasters are very obliging plants, they will grow in almost any soil in any position. Their flowers are particularly attractive to bees, whilst their winter berries are a reliable source of food for wildlife. A good hedge for seaside conditions and can be grown in exposed, windy spots. There are many cotoneasters both evergreen and deciduous and all are fully hardy, we have chosen a select few that are particularly good hedging varieties.
Any soil (except waterlogged)
- Average growth rate: 30 - 45cm per annum
