Castlewellan Gold Leylandii is a fast growing evergreen conifer similar to green leylandii but slightly slower growing as it tends to put more energy into bushing out early on. It forms a dense ‘golden’ evergreen hedge that if regularly trimmed that can be maintained as a superb formal hedge. It can be used effectively as a windbreak and will also reduce noise pollution. Tolerant of most types of soils and conditions.
  • Full sun for best colour or / partial shade
  • Any soil type (except waterlogged).
  • Growth rate: 60 – 75 cm per annum

Plant at 24in – 36in (60 - 90cm) apart for hedges 3 foot upwards.
